The high quality of the presentations that we have at the iMoot is what keeps both presenters and attendees coming back year after year. If you are new to presenting at an iMoot - don't worry, you'll get help and guidance from the team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

To submit a presentation proposal please select the 'Add Entry' tab below. We'll do the rest, and get back to you to confirm whether it has been accepted.

Sessions for the iMoot are to be a maximum of 45 minutes long including question time.

If you can not see the 'Add Entry' tab, either you haven't set up an account on the site, or the call for presentations has closed.

What if software actually worked together.

Description of Presentation

In the ever changing landscape of software one of the biggest challenges has always been how to have different systems working with each other. Traditionally the approach is to build integration between systems using API. This has to be done for every system that you want to integrate. With the advent of FOLIO (a new Open Source library platform) we have an opportunity to do these integrations in a simpler and more scalable manner. What if instead of Integrating your LMS (Library Management System) with your other LMS (Learning Management system) we instead integrate with FOLIO. Then we only have to do one integration for each system. Want to add an eportfolio into the mix, then integrate that to FOLIO, instead of once to your LMS and then again, to your other LMS.
