Designing mobile learning using the web interface

Content Type: Online Teaching and Course Creation

Language: English

Description of Presentation

It all started when we decided that we must give our learners a learning experience that is available anytime, anywhere. We decided to design courses that can be learned using smartphones. We decided to design our mobile courses with the best means available to us - Moodle. After a series of tests, we decided that Moodle Mobile did not meet our needs.

So what can you do? Very much in fact!

With minor adjustments, you can use the web interface and get very good results. It requires a lot of creativity, testing, use of external tools and thinking outside of the box. In this presentation I will present examples from two different courses that were taught using mobile devices only, and other examples of small modules designed to be learned through mobile.
